ランカスターセントラルマーケット

Lancaster Central Market

This farmer's market is located in the heart of downtown Lancaster. It has been in operation since 1730 and is said to be the oldest market in the United States since independence.

The location is about a 2-minute walk from the Marriott Hotel in downtown Lancaster, almost next to the Lancaster Tourist Information Center.

Every Friday and Saturday, over 60 local shops are lined up in an area about the size of two soccer fields, where you can buy fresh local vegetables and meat, bottled goods, jams, cheeses, freshly baked bread, and more. Although you won't often see them in Japan, we recommend turkey sandwiches and turkey jerky. However, be careful because turkey meat contains tryptophan, which is also found in milk, so if you eat too much, you'll feel sleepy.

Since it's indoors, you can shop leisurely even if it rains. Parking is available at the back. If there are no spaces available, you will have to pay, but there is also a multi-storey car park nearby.

Address: 23 N Market St, Lancaster, PA 17603
